Is it possible to provide electronic ticketing (to use on mobile phones) in the build out of an event for a registrant to show instead of printing out a ticket?

this would cut down on the need for registrants to physically print out a ticket to present at the door of an event. Cuts down on service time for event leads/managers/staff to search database via remote computer in the event of a lost ticket. Eliminates paper. Provides quick access to entry less log jam at registration table (check-in). Would be great if that could be coordinated with a portable scanning device to link back to Raiser's Edge event participation tab in the constituents data file.
