We use addressee/salutations for a number of different purposes, and it would be fantastic to see similar functionality in NetCommunity that exists in Raiser's Edge. For example, we have developed an addressee type in Raiser's Edge to display a constituent's affiliation with our institution, including class year and parent year(s). It would be nice to see in NetCommunity the option to "Use this addressee/salutation type, and if it doesn't exist, use this addressee/salutation type." I have many ideas for how to use directories to automate the numerous lists we display on our website or in our alumni community, but I would prefer to consolidate names to a single field for user-friendliness. In addition, we use different name formatting for different purposes, e.g. our donor list would be a more formal representation of someone's name vs. a list of event participants, which might use a preferred name. As it currently stands, you can only use "Primary Addressee" and "Primary Salutation" as fields to turn on in the Admin > Fields area, and you can only associate one addressee or salutation type in your database with the Addressee or Salutation fields in the Sites and Settings area - there is no option to have conditional logic or additional addressees/salutations.
