Add a widget to "Add to My Calendar" from Event registration acknowledgement emails
It would be exceedingly helpful if an iCal widget could be available to incorporated into acknowledgement emails so our registrants could easily transfer the details of an event to their personal calendars.
Yeah, there are some strange "add to calendar" buttons associated with events if you pull them through to a public-facing calendar hosted in NetCommunity. But the one that looks like Outlook seems like it may only work with Hotmail accounts, not Office365? There's nowhere that downloads a standard .ics file for you. Would love this to be in event registration acknowledgment emails.
There is a way to do this using addtocalendar.com and also bit.ly or another service to shorten the URLs. However, it's tricky, and I would recommend testing it heavily and seeing if people make use of it. Way easier if this was built in for us, you're right.
