Donor pays credit card processing fee.

In Net Community have the option for a donor to pay the credit card processing fee in addition to their gift. So many nonprofits offer that option now.

Agree - please give us this feature! This is basically a "given" for the donors of today!

Once again I was asked about this. It is pretty amazing the number of times this has been requested--any updates from BB about whether this is in discovery?

MobileCause, our vendor for text-to-give, makes this very easy and many of our donors do choose that extra 2.5% - so we see gifts of $25.64 and similar amounts very often.

I agree with this completely! I guess the only way to do this is by adding giving levels and then the donor has to choose from a pre-selected item in the giving levels. You would set up $25 (without fee), and then $25 (with the fee), etc. You would have to figure out the fee for each level and this would not apply if someone wants to give an odd amount (like $2966, for example). They would not be able to pay that fee. The other option is to "force" the donor to pay the fee and just automatically include the fee in all transactions. This would not work for our organization either. Never would I want to "force" our donor to pay for anything. FirstGiving makes it really easy for donors to pay the credit card fee. they simply make their gift and check a box to pay the fee. Simple. I often wonder why Blackbaud has to make things so incredibly difficult. Their product is not customer or donor focused.
