De-Duplicate by Email Address Not Display Name

I find it completely strange (not to say adding more work for us) that NetCommunity de-duplicates email addresses not by the email address (which is the point) but by the Display Name associated with the email address. What if I have 12 John Smith's in my list? Please fix this to de-duplicate by email address which,again, is the point if de-duplicating!
